Pioneer Index

The Surnames in this index were taken from the SCGS publication Solano County, California 1993 Pioneer Index. Since 1993, the references to Solano County persons / events has grown to 180,000 entries with new material added weekly. Starting in 1995, an ambitious project was undertaken to add index cards on many of the early churches of Solano's baptisms, marriages, and burials which added significantly to the index. Copies of the Original are available for the usual research charge. See Example.

Solano County Pioneer Folders:

All research reports, inquires, and correspondence regarding our early Solano County Families are carefully cross indexed and archived in "Pioneer Folders" at our society's library and research room, located in "The Olde Town Hall", upstairs at 620 Main Street in Vacaville. The contents of the pioneer folders can be copied by others researching these families, thus helping to connect "cousins".

We happily accept material to be added to the Pioneer Folders . Material may consist of genealogies, charts, documents, photos, etc.
