Welcome to County Antrim, Northern Ireland which is one
of the nine counties that make up what is called "Ulster".
They are Antrim, Armagh, Cavan, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry
(Derry), Monaghan, and Tyrone. Cavan, Donegal and Donegal are part of
the Republic of Ireland. The remaining six counties make up modern day,
Northern Ireland, which since 1920 have been a part of the United Kingdom.
See the History Section for more information on County Antrim. You can
visit other Counties by clicking on the name in the selection list on
the main graphic above. My name is Richard Ross, your County Antrim Host,
and I am looking forward to helping in anyway I can. Unfortunately, I
am not able to provide any personal research for you, so please, don't
ask me for help in that area. Your best sources for finding help will
come from this site and the resources outlined below. Thank you.
Our purpose is to provide, you, the visitor, with as much
information possible to help you in your quest for knowledge into the lives
of your Irish Ancestry. We will accomplish this through links to the history,
the land, and the families that lived in Co Antrim, while providing you
with addresses in the Research Section, of where you can write to secure
birth, marriage, death, and land records for the county. In the Links Section,
you will find additional sites which might be of interest to you, and help
in your research. Additionally, you will find instructions for subscribing
to the Mailing Lists, (i.e. CoAntrim, Ulster, or the IrelandGenWeb lists).
On your way out, you might wish to leave us a Family Group
Sheet of your County Antrim ancestors or perhaps, you would like to provide
us with those Surnames you are researching so that other visitors, who
find that common surname listed, could contact you. Everyone benefits
in sharing information.
Thank you for visiting County Antrim, and drop the County
Host an email letting them know what you think of the site. Feel free
to offer any suggestions you may have, also.
