When It's Time to Call in the Pros

Hiring a Professional A-Z

Janice Lovelace, Jill Morelli,

Steven W. Morrison

About the Program

Janice Lovelace, Jill Morelli, and Steven W. Morrison will provide three mini-presentations related to hiring a professional genealogist. All are members of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (PS-APG).

Janice will begin with “What to expect from a Professional Genealogist.” She will describe what professional genealogists do and what the letters behind their name mean. Jill will then speak on “Client - Professional Relationships.” She will describe how to hire a professional and some of the details. Steven will finish up with “How about Hiring an Agent Across the Pond.” Since much of his personal research has involved records in Ireland and the United Kingdom, he will highlight some do’s and don’ts. A question and answer period will follow.
