Surname info: Re the family of John Morris and his wife Catherine Morris:
John Morris, birthplace and date unknown; death occurred November 14, 1839,
place of death unknown
Children of John and Catherine Morris:
John B. Morris, born 1829, probably in Wales, immigrated to America circa 1850
William Morris, born 1833, probably in Wales, no further info
Isaac Morris, born 1837, probably in Wales, immigrated to America circa 1850
Thomas D. Morris, born December 15, 1839, born in Shropshire, England
Catherine Morris, born circa 1799-1800; is on 1851 Wales census, age 42, living
in Llanfihangel, Rhydithon, Radnorshire, Wales, age 42, born in Wales, no
husband listed (he was deceased by then)
Mary, age 15
William, age 8
Isaac, age 5
Thomas, age 9 months
John, age 12, living next door; working for family he was living with
Brothers John B., Isaac, and Thomas all immigrate to America and lived in
Forest, Richland County, Wisconsin, married, had children, and died in America.
Whereabouts of mother Catherine, unknown.
Found her on 1851 census still living in Llanfihangel, Rhydithon, Radnorshire in
the same swelling; age 51, occupation listed as "pauper", living with son Thomas,
age 10, and a grandson age 1.
No further information about family living in Radnorshire, aside from the census
record of 1841. Would like information about this family prior to immigration
but have had no luck!
