Jake Finkbeiner was born March 30, 1909 at Jud, N.D., to Lena (Forkel) and Otto Finkbeiner. At age eight he moved with his family to northeast of Roscoe. He lived there until he married Katie Diegel Oct. 30, 1932 at Roscoe Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Katie of Roscoe; one son and daughter-in-law: Delbert and Martha Finkbeiner of Roscoe; two sisters: Lena Ohm of Albert Lea, MN and Anne Sonnenfeld of Lodi, CA and two grandchildren: Michael Finkbeiner of Aberdeen and Silka Finkbeiner of Roscoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
