She was born Oct. 20, 1915 in Bowdle, the daughter of George and Wilhelmina (Brandel) Wentz. she attended rural school in the Bowdle area. She married Albert Doerr on July 17, 1934 at Bowdle where they farmed.
They moved to Wisconsin in 1949, moving to Red Wing, MN, in 1954. She worked at various places in Red Wing including Busy Bee Laundry. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
Survivors include her husband of Red Wing, MN; two daughters, Pat Johnson of Hager City, WI, and Lavon and James Enevold of Bay City, WI; three sons: Orville and Angie Doerr of Hastings, MN; James and Judy Doerr of Frontenac, MN; and Lester and Laura Doerr of Hager City, WI; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and five brothers: George, Henry, Johnny, Val, and Joe Wentz.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 29, at Laurel Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kristine Holmgren officiating. Burial was in Burnside Cemetery.
Bodelson-Mahn Funeral Home of Red Wing, MN, was in charge of the arrangements.
