ADAM LANDIS

The funeral for Adam Landis, age 72 of Mobridge, was May 5, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Mobridge with the Rev. Peter J. Naumann officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Larson's Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Mr. Landis died Monday, May 1, 1995, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Adam Henry Landis was born June 6, 1923 to Phillip and Christina (Schlecht) Landis at their ranch on Red Top Hill, rural Trail City. He was one of 10 children.

He married Ella Pfitzer Sept. 14, 1948 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Mobridge by the Rev. Karl Bast.

Survivors include his wife of Mobridge; three sons; Alan Landis of Mobridge; Ron Landis and wife; Mary Lou of Mobridge; and Dale Landis, and wife, Debra of Rapid City; seven grandchildren: Stephanie Vojta and husband Keith, Jr.; Amy, Eric, and Kelli Landis, all of Mobridge; Chad Landis and wife, Julie; Ryan and Rachel Landis, all of Rapid City; one great-grandson; Brenten Landis of Rapid City; one sister: Mrs. Lydia Naasz of Mobridge; three brothers: Gary Landis of Mobridge; Herb Landis of Trail City; and Richard Landis of Sacramento, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Rudy, George, Phil and an infant; and one sister: Elsie.
