His funeral service was Friday, May 26, at St. John Eve. Lutheran Church at Bowdle wit the Rev. Winfried Schroeder officiating.
Reinhold (Reinie) Herman was born at rural Lowry, Walworth County on April 13, 1904 to Henry and Nettie (Miller) Herman. He attended country school near Lowry. Following his education, he farmed with his parents around Lowry.
He married Laura E. Nelson at Huron on Dec. 9, 1928. Work and organizations in paper.
Mrs. Herman died on July 27, 1986.
Survivors include one son: Kenneth V. Herman of Flandreau; two daughters: Mrs. Harlan (Patricia) Nipp of Cresbard and Carol Mathews of Rockville., MD; one brother: Albert Herman of Lakewood, CA; three sisters: Mrs. Martha Feiock of Mobridge; Mrs. Philip (Eleanor) Aipperspach of Lakewood, CA; and Mrs. Hulda Badure of Mobridge; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter and one son both in infancy, three brothers, and two sisters.
Honorary casketbearers were great-grandchildren: Nathan Nipp and Skyler Nipp of Cresbard; Abby Nipp and Zachary Nipp of Sioux Falls.
Casketbearers were Monte Nipp and Dawn Nipp of Sioux Falls; Marlin Nipp, Narilora Nipp, and Carla Nipp of Cresbard; and Timothy Mathews of Rockville, MD.
