KATIE GAB

The funeral for Katie Gab, age 92 of Eureka, was Saturday morning at Zion Lutheran Church in Eureka. Burial followed at the church cemetery at Eureka.

She died Aug. 2, 1995 at the Bowdle Hospital.

Katie Stotz was born March 20, 1904 to Phillip and Rosina (Flemmer) Stotz in South Russia. Move to U.S. in paper.

She married Jacob Gab on Nov. 5, 1922, at Eureka. They settled on a farm southwest of Eureka. He died May 5, 1971.

Survivors include two sons: Allan A. Gab of Bowdle and Victor O. Gab of Eureka; three daughters: Mrs. Lenore Charell of Pacific Palisades, CA; Mrs. Marvin (Norma) Job of Spearfish; and Mrs. Karl (Lillian) Bareither of Avilla Beach, CA; six sisters: Mrs. Eva Flemmer of Lehr, ND; Mrs. Lydia Wagner and Mrs. Charles (Alma) Schepens of Glendive, MT; Mrs. Anna Ottmar of Eureka; Mrs. Emma Scrobel of Absarokee, MT; and Mrs. Mary Squires of Renton, WA; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, two brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Kurt Gab of Brentford; Rex Gab of Mitchell; Patrick Gab and Dale Gab of Eureka; Steve Job of Whitewood; and Blair Gab of Golden, CO.
