LEON H. KAST

Leon H. Kast, age 83 of Java, died Aug. 20, 1995 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. His funeral was Aug. 23, at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Java with Pastor Anna Peck officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Home of Bowdle.

Leon H. Kast was born to Henry and Pauline (Buckenberger) Kast 12 miles north of Java on Oct. 20, 1911. He was baptized in the Sutley Reformed Church near the farm and was confirmed at the Reformed Church in Java. More on schooling in paper.

He married Nettie Spiry at Mobridge on May 28, 1932. More on work in paper.

Survivors include his wife of Java; two sons; Ardian W. Kast of Haynes, ND and Lynn L. Kast of Elkhart, IN; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters.
