HAZEL BUCKENBERGER

Hazel Marie Buckenberger, age 80, a homemaker who lived in Pebble Beach, CA, the past 21 years, died Oct. 6, 1995 in the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula shortly after an angioplasty operation.

She was born in Java on April 2, 1915. She lived in Fresno, CA, for 20 years before she and her husband, Ben moved to Pebble Beach. They owned and managed clothing stores throughout California.

Survivors include her husband; two sons: Robert Buckenberger of Fresno, CA, and Larry Buckenberger of La Jolla, CA; one daughter: Sharee Lefever of Cachagua, CA; four brothers: Winfred Nies of Highland, IN; Harold Nies of Winner; George Nies of Palm Springs, CA; and Richard Nies of Bellevue, WA; one sister: Margaret Boehler of Java; six grandchildren; and two-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nies of Java; an older brother, Leo Lies; and an older sister, Helen Nies.
