DOROTHY HAUPT BURR

Services for Dorothy Haupt Burr were held March 4, 1992 in Hudson, CO. She died Feb. 28, 1992 after an extended battle with cancer and was interred at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at Denver, CO.

Dorothy Haupt was born in Bowdle, Aug. 21, 1927 to longtime Bowdle residents, Katherine and Ernest Haupt. She was the eldest of the six Haupt children.

After graduation from Bowdle High School she married John Burr and moved to the Burke area where they farmed for many years. Three sons were born to their union: Douglas Burr of Hudson, CO; David of Thronton, CO and Donald of Lochbuie, CO. After moving to Colorado, Dorothy Burr worked for many years as dietician for Hudson Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Elaine Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, three sisters: Lois McDermed of Commerce City, CO; Maybelle Greiss of Aberdeen and Grace Hough of Brandon and one brother: Harris Haupt of Rapid City.
