Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery at Thief River Falls, MN, with the Green Funeral Home, Inc., in charge of arrangements.

She died June 22, 1993, at St. Luke's Midland Regional Medical Center at Aberdeen as the result of an automobile accident.

Marie Charlotte Peterson was born on the homestead in Smiley Township, Pennington county, MN, March 19, 1910, to Oscar J. and Emma (Skaug) Peterson. she was baptized and confirmed at St. Pauli Lutheran Church, rural St. Hilaire, MN.

She attended rural school, later graduating from Lincoln High School in 1927. She received her teacher's training in Thief River Falls, MN and taught at School District #221.

She was united in marriage to Gustaf Gustafson Sept. 15, 1932 at Glasgow, MT. The couple returned to Smiley Township where they farmed. He died July 28, 1982. She was residing in Browns Valley, MN, at the time of her death. She was very active in church work her entire life.

Survivors include two daughters: Elinor Wiskow and her husband, Water of Browns Valley, MN; Melba Lundeen and her husband Erling of Spicer, MN; seven grandchildren: Mark Lundeen and Lana Ferry of Spicer, MN; Kathy Neil and her husband Bill of Bloomington, IL; Karen Ellis and her husband Jeff of Blue Mound, WI; Steven Wiskow of Savage, MN; Suellen Wiskow of Ham Lake, MN and Sara Wiskow of Browns Valley, MN; 11 great-grandchildren: Deanna, Brian, Amanda, Nicole and Kevin Ferry' Matthew and David Neil; Joshua and Katie Ellis; and Rachel and Katie Austad; sisters: Evelyn Nelson of Thief River Falls, MN; Deloris Bishop and her husband, Burford of Arcadia, CA and Norma Womack and her husband Walt of Sacrament, CA; one brother: Julius Peterson and his wife Cleone of Hood, CA, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
