ERVIN BOLLINGER

Ervin (Erv) Bollinger, age 60 of Webster and formerly of Bowdle, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1993, at the Lake Area Hospital in Webster.

His funeral was Friday, Nov. 5, at the Webster United Methodist Church with the Rev.. Bruce Gray officiating. Burial was Friday afternoon at the Bowdle City Cemetery in Bowdle with the Rev. Orland Sloat of Bowdle officiating.

Ervin Robert Bollinger was born July 25, 1933 at Bowdle to Fred and Kathryn (Merkel) Bollinger. He attended school in Bowdle and graduated from Bowdle High School with the Class of 1951. He then worked for two years at the Bowdle Creamery.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1953 where he served in Germany. He married Shirley Elaine Stotz on Feb. 18, 1954, at Bowdle. when he was honorably discharged in 1955, the family moved to Denver, CO, where he worked for Carlson-Frink Creamery. Later they moved to Bowdle where he was employed at Bowdle State Bank. In 1966 they moved to Webster, where he was employed at Security Bank and Trust until 1989, when he retired for health reasons. He became a resident of Bethesda Home at Webster in April, 1992.

He was a member of the Webster United Methodist Church, Webster Kiwanis Club, and the American Legion. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman and a Webster Bearcat Booster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; one sister, and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of Webster; two sons and their wives; Bruce and Kae Bollinger of Sulphur Springs, TX; Kip and Nancy Bollinger of Pittsburg, KS; one brother: Ruben Bollinger of Bowdle; one sister: Rose Reiprich of Webster and one granddaughter: Morgan Leigh Bollinger of Sulphur Springs, TX.
