The Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday morning, Nov. 19, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Selby with Fr. Ivo Martini officiating. Burial followed in the Catholic section of Selby Memorial Gardens.
Elizabeth Kosters, the daughter of George and Maria (Theunissen) Kosters, was born on July 16, 1916 at Java and she attended rural school in the area. She married Ladis Raba October 29, 1934, at Selby. They farmed in the Selby-Java area until 1985, when they retired and moved to Aberdeen.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its Alter Society at Selby.
She is survived by her husband of Aberdeen; four sons: Donald Raba of Selby; Marvin Raba, Anthony Raba and Gregory Raba, all of Douglas, WY; six daughters: Mrs. Ed (Marilyn) Bohlander and Mrs. Pat (Theresa) Russell, both of Aberdeen; Mrs. Bernard (Jeanette) Neal of Spokane, WA; Mrs. Don (Margaret) Mertz of Mobridge; Mrs. Jerry (Rose Marie) Mittleider and Mrs. Max (Susanne) Smylie, both of Douglas, WY; one brother: John Koster of Selby; one sister: Mrs. Martin (Katherine) Raba of Sleby; 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, three brothers, five sisters, and one granddaughter.
Honorary pallbearers were Jessica Raba, Jolene Raba, Janelle Raba, Amiee Raba, Maria Russell, Denise Mertz, Kristi Mertz, and Wendy Meyer.
Active pallbearers were Jim Bohlander, Dan Bohlander, Alan Bohlander, Jerome Neal, Mike Russell, Steve Russell, John Russell, Scott Mertz, Jason Mittleider and Brian Raba.
Miller-Huebl Funeral Home of Aberdeen was in charge of the arrangements.
