JACOB HOFFER

Jacob Hoffer, age 81, of Roscoe, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, at the Colonial Manor of Ipswich. His funeral was Wednesday at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church of Roscoe with the Rev. Gerald Blobaum officiating.

Burial followed at Morningside Cemetery at Roscoe with Miller Funeral Home of Bowdle in charge of the arrangements.

Jacob Hoffer was born June 26 1913 at Hosmer to Christina (Wiederrich) and Fred Hoffer. He attended country school around the Roscoe area. Following his schooling he helped his parents on their farm northwest of Roscoe.

He married Alma Blumhardt on Oct. 7, 1934 at Bowdle. More on work and moves in paper.

He is survived by his wife of Roscoe; two sons: Ronald L. Hoffer and Harvey L. Hoffer of Roscoe; two brothers: Art Hoffer of Las Cruces, NM and Mervin Hoffer of Anoka, MN; five sisters: Martha Hoffer of Roscoe; Mrs. Magdalina Beckman of Anoka, MN; Mrs. Jake (Edna) Bauer of Fargo, ND; Mrs. Philipina Reede of Tacoma, WA; and Mrs. Harold (Lorraine) Roemmich of Mellette; four grandsons; nine stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, two sisters, and one brother.
