Burial will be 1 p.m. (MDT) Friday, Oct. 14, 1994 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.
Raymond (Ray) Bachman was born Oct. 3, 1927 at Bowdle to Theodosius and Cecilia (Krum) Bachman. More on schooling and military career in paper.
On July 17, 1950 he married Lila Dumdie at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Bowdle.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Cecilia Bachman of Bowdle; his wife, Lila Bachman of Bowdle; one son, Paul A. Bachman of Huron; three daughters: Teresa M. Daniels of Northfield, MN; Mrs. Duane (Vicki) Knecht of Bowdle; and Mrs. Scott (Debra) Parkhurst of Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND; two brothers: Edward Bachman of Ipswich; and George Bachman of Warwick RI; three sisters: Mrs. Marion Young of Paradise, CA; Mrs. Kenneth (Jo) Tokelson of San Diego, CA; and Dorothy Rinehart of Gaithersburg, MD; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Robert Wendt of Wetonka; Marvin Uhrich and LeRoy Ehnes of Roscoe; Louis Thares and Frank Heinz, Sr., of Ipswich; and Elroy Eske of Mina.
