MELINDA R. KNECHT

Melinda R. Knecht, age 82 of Bowdle, died Friday, Oct. 14, 1994, at the Good Samaritan Center in Selby.

Her funeral was Tuesday morning at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Bowdle with the Rev. Mindy Ehrke officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Home of Bowdle.

Melinda R. Beitelspacher was born Aug. 31, 1912 to Christina (Schumacher) and John J. Beitelspacher at Java. More on schooling in paper.

She married Gustave (Gust) F. Knecht. He died March 16, 1990. More on moves and farming in paper.

She is survived by three sons: Duane Knecht of Bowdle; Harlin Knecht of Aberdeen and Clifford Knecht of Hillsboro, OR; three daughters: Mrs. Melvin (Jeanette) Duenwald of St. Louis Park, MN; Mrs. Wayne (Sally) Perman of Mobridge; and Mrs. Alan (Pam) Dahme of New Salem, ND; five brothers: Erwin Beitelspacher of Ipswich; Cleo Beitelspacher of Oakland, CA; Erhard Beitelspacher of Bowdle; Ruben Beitelspacher of Aberdeen and Eugene Beitelspacher of Houston, TX; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were David Knecht of Bowdle; Randy Knecht of Sioux Falls; Chad Dahme of New Salem, ND, Larry Duenwald of Beggs, OK; Mark Perman of Royal Oak, MI and Troy Perman of Grand Forks, ND.
