RUTH AMAN

Ruth N. Aman, age 100 of Selby, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 1994 at the Bowdle Nursing Home.

Her funeral was held Wednesday morning at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bowdle with Pastor Joe Story officiating.

Burial followed at Selby Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Home in Bowdle.

Ruth N. Baumann was born Sept. 3, 1894 at Hosmer to Henry and Elizabeth (Seydel) Baumann. More in paper and early life.

She married Henry Aman Jr. on Dec. 15, 1916 at the home of her parents near Lowry. More on farming in paper.

Survivors include two sons: Julius Aman of Sonoma, CA; and Stanley Aman of Tonopah, NV; two daughters: Alice Grey of Aberdeen and Sarah Grey of Rapid City; two sisters: Bertha Fowler of Seattle, WA; and Mrs. Elsie Weiss of Colonial Manor of Ipswich; 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband April 12, 1981, two sons, one daughter, five brothers, and four (two in infancy) sister.

Pallbearers were Aaron Siewert, Art Holweger and Milton Hagele, all of Bowdle; William Gill, Jr. of Eureka; Albert Binder and Virgil Heinrich of Tolstoy.
