Her funeral was Jan. 17, at St. Mary Margaret Catholic church in Big Sandy, MT with Benton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Bertha M. Pound was born in Missouri Valley, IA, on March , 1919 to Pearl M. and James H. Pounds. She married Henry R. Cook in Iowa and moved to the Big Sandy area in Dec. of 1939.

Survivors include her husband of Bowdle; six sons: Richard Cook of Big Sandy, MT; Ike Cook, Roger Cook and Wade Cook, all of Fort Benton, MT; Sid Cook of Hermiston, OR and Calvin Cook of Spokane, WA; seven daughters: Delores Axtman, Betty McCoun, and Karen Pearson, all of Fort Benton, MT; Darlene Poindexter of Geraldine, MT; Sue Ann Williams of Big Sandy, MT; Colleen Imberi of Eureka; and Sharon Grismer of Warden, WA; 34 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, James; a sister, Helen; three stepsons; three stepgrandchildren; a and nine stepgreat-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Cook and three grandchildren.
