BENJAMIN BERG

Benjamin (Ben) Berg, age 88 of Ipswich, died at the Ipswich Colonial Manor May 10, 1992. Religious service in paper.

Benjamin (Ben) Berg was born at LaBarsky, South Russia, August 5, 1903 to Christian and Katherine Neumiller Berg. In 1911, at the age of 8, the family moved to the United States and settled northeast of Akaska where he attended school. He became a U.S. citizen in 1938.

He married Esther Wagner at Selby, June 17, 1930. They made their first home at Rockham. Work and community information in paper. No death date for her.

He married Johanna Van Berkel Rodenberg at Rapid City July 24, 1976. She died Oct. 16, 1985.

Survivors include one son: Gene Berg of Mesa, AZ; three daughters: Mrs. Bernice Wietgrefe of Ipswich; Mrs. Darrell (Alice Julia) Kulm of Rapid City and Mrs. Vernon (Geraldine) Filler of Quincy, WA; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, one son, 10 brothers and one sister who died in infancy and were buried near Rosenfelt, South Russia.
