MILDRED HOVEN

Mildred (Millie) Helen Hoven, age 71 and formerly of Bowdle, died at her home in Aberdeen on Jan. 18, 1995. Mass of Christian Burial was Jan. 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen with Fr. John Rader and Fr. Marvin McPhee officiating.

Burial was at Riverside Memorial Park, Aberdeen, under the direction of Miller-Huebl Funeral Home of Aberdeen.

Mildred Hass was born July 25, 1923, in Ashtabula township, rural Valley City, MN, to William and Ethel (Magnuson) Hass. More on early life in paper.

She married Donald P. Hoven Sept 4, 1943, at St. Paul, MN. More on life and work in paper.

He died Feb. 24, 1993.

Survivors include her son: Mark D. Hoven of Aberdeen; four daughters: Linda Goetz of Maple Grove, MN; Diana Bond of Las Vegas, NV; Judy Schnabel of Redfield; and Tracy Helms of Waseca, MN; two brothers: William Hass, Jr. of Valley City, ND; and Walter Hass of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters: Jane Olson of Valley City, ND; and Margaret Bollinger of Milwaukee, WI and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers: Edward and Robert.
