LYDIA MARTELL

Lydia Martell, age 93 of Hosmer, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995 at the Hosmer Senior Citizens Home.

Her funeral was Friday afternoon, Feb. 3, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hosmer. More about service in paper.

Lydia Heyd was born Feb. 10, 1901 at Long Lake to John D. and Eva (Gienger) Heyd. More on schooling in paper.

She married Carl Martell on March 10, 1921 at Long Lake. More on work in paper. He died Nov. 16, 1975.

Survivors include one son: Milbert H. Martell of Marshall, MN; two brothers: Edward Heyd of Aberdeen and Rudolph Heyd of Long Lake; three sisters: Mrs. Lea Guthmiller of Yakima, WA; Mrs. Rose Baumbach of Lodi, CA; and Mrs. Edwin (Laurenta) Schock of Ellendale, ND; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her death were her parents, her husband, one son in infancy, one grandson in infancy, and two brothers.
