ROBERT H. DOERR

Robert H. Doerr, age 65 of Aberdeen, died Thursday, March 2, 1995 at the V.A. Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services were Monday, March 6, at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Burial was Wednesday at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis with the Rev. David Doerr officiating and Military Graveside Honors by the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard.

Robert Harold Doerr was born June 14, 1929 at Bowdle to Jacob F. and Rosina (Buechler) Doerr. More on schooling in paper.

He married Priscilla Rathke on June 14, 1959 at Mobridge. More on work in paper.

He was a member of the Sidney L. Smith American Legion Post #24 and the V.F. w. C. C. Croal Post #17, both in Aberdeen and was past commander of the Bowdle American Legion Post #264.

Survivors include his mother: Rosina Doerr of Bowdle; tow sons: David R. Doerr of Hillsboro, IA and Tim Doerr of Aberdeen; one daughter: Mrs. Mel (LeAnn) Burdick of Lincoln, NE; one brother: Arnold Doerr of Bowdle; two sisters: Mrs. Amelia Preston of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Mrs. Althea Kambestadt of Sacramento, CA.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Honorary pallbearers were Jason Fischer, Irvin Rogers, Larry Hartze, Leonard Hartze, Leo Hartze, and Duane Rogers.

Pallbearers were James Doerr, Tom Doerr, Harvey Doerr, Ton Doerr, Jon Becker, Dan Strand, and Wayne Koester.
