GENE HOCHSTETTER

Gene E. Hochstetter, age 50 of Aberdeen, died Monday, March 6, 1994 at St. Luke's Midland regional Medical Center, Aberdeen.

His funeral was Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran church, Aberdeen with the Rev. Roger Noer officiating. Burial followed at Riverside Memorial Park, Aberdeen, with Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, Aberdeen, in charge of arrangements.

Gene Edward Hochstetter was born on Dec. 31, 1944 at Hoven to Herbert and Twila (Davis) Hochstetter . The family lived in Java where he started school and graduated from Java High School with the class of 1962. He worked in the Java area for farmers.

He married Della Diedtrich at Selby on Aug. 29, 1965. They made their home in Aberdeen. He married Linda Flocchini at Aberdeen on July 30, 1982. He worked for the J. C. Penney company for 29 years as a stock room supervisor where he worked until the time of his death.

Survivors include his mother, Twila Hochstetter of Java; his wife, Linda K. Hochstetter of Aberdeen, two sons: Michael G. Hochstetter and wife, Kathy of Aberdeen and Robert F. Flocchini III of Rapid City; three daughters: Mrs. Patrick (Michele) Hanson and Monica Hochstetter, both of Aberdeen; and Angelena Flocchini of Britton; one brother, Thomas Hochstetter of Los Vegas, NV; two grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Pallbearers were Bruce and Thomas Goehring, Ivan Guthmiller, and Leo Stein of Aberdeen; Timothy Spiry of Bowdle; Terry Hofer of Java; and Anthony Kocher of Britton.
