Funeral services were held Friday, March 17, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Highmore for Duane Richard (Mick) Gunderson. Burial was in the Highmore City Cemetery.

Duane Richard Gunderson was born Oct. 11, 1931 at Highmore to Charles and Esther (Campbell) Gunderson and died March 13, 1995 at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, at the age of 63 years, five months, and two days.

He was raised on the family farm north of Highmore, later taking it over from his parents. He was united in marriage to Donna Ruark in Highmore on June 10, 1955. To this union six children were born.

Work, military and organizations included in paper.

Among the survivors are his wife; four daughters; two sons, including Mike and Sharon Gunderson, Mandy, Jaimie, and Lance of Bowdle; his mother; two brothers; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father and one uncle.
