    GENERAL

  • United States Library of Congress booklists: See Library of Congress files for help on how to use the information referenced in the following series.
    • English genealogy: Around 120K, genealog.lc-eng is a listing of over 400 books. Similar (but not identical) lists are in genealog.qengland and genealog.qenglish.
    • genealog.qmagna: A short list of books dealing with descendants of the signers of the Magna Carta.
    • genealog.lc-irl: Irish genealogy, nearly 300 books. A similar (not identical) list is genealog.qirish.
    • genealog.lc-scot: Scottish genealogy, over 200 books. A similar (not identical) list is genealog.qscotlnd.
    • genealog.lc-wales: Welsh genealogy, over 50 books. A similar (not identical) list is genealog.qwales.

    GREAT BRITAIN

  • genealog.britmil: Resources for researching soldiers who served in the British Army in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

    ENGLAND

  • Family History Societies: An official, up to date list, may be found on GENUKI. Meanwhile, we have two older unofficial copies:
