OBIT: KULAK, Mary (Maria Schoepp) - Jan 17, 1998 - Stony Plain - Parkland

KULAK, Mary (Maria Schoepp) Died January 17, 1998. Mary Kulak was born September 11, 1903
to Jacob and Maria Schoepp. The parents had come to the Stony Plain area in 1898, at a time 
before there were any roads in the district and they played a leading role in the development of the 
community. The two sons and six daughters of Jacob and Maria were the nucleus of many prominent 
pioneer families. Mary's joy was in caring for her family of three children, Marion (Wayne), Clifford
(Susanne) and Geoffrey (Alice) all of whom survive her death. She was predeceased by her husband, 
John (Johann) in 1996. 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren will carry on her hopes and values. 
Mary will be laid to rest beside John and infant grandchild, Tracy Lynn. A private family funeral was held, 
conducted by her nephew, the Reverend Walter Schoepp. Parkland Funeral Services, Stony Plain, in 
care of Arrangements.
