The Society meets the second Wednesday of each month,
September
through June (7-9 p.m.) at the Branch Library.
ABOUT
THE SOCIETY
The
branch started out as the Fort McMurray Genealogical Study Group in 1984. In 1987 we became a branch of the Alberta Genealogical
Society. The branch offers help in Genealogical research by
holding study groups for beginners; how to use computers in Genealogy;
getting past difficulties.
During
the year workshops and seminars are held on various subjects i.e. Preservation of Old Documents by
Encapsulation;Ontario Research; Newfoundland Research; Research in Great
Britain.
