| found by his son lying in the back of his shop with his shotgun lying across his knees. The full |
| discharge from the gun had entered his heart. The deceased was well known in the city being an |
| old timer. He had been drinking heavily. |

| yesterday when a small stone from a blast hit him in the head. |

| shotgun, George Gouin, member of the real estate firm of Gouin, Palmer and McIntyre, met |
| instant death on Sat. He was about 45, having been born at Three Rivers, Que. He is survived |
| by his father who lives near Chicago and a sister, Mrs. Christie, resident at Calgary. |

| reported at Hamilton Cove, Saguenay Co. Several canoes filled with workmen started out to |
| cross above the falls. One of the canoes containing seven men was caught in the current and |
| swept over the falls all being drowned. The victims were: Alfred Gagnon. Geo. Quinn, Xavier |
| Guerin, James Quinn, Phillips Chaffadeau, Zenon Otis, Geo Campion. |
