SMITH 1907-07-31 - St. John, New Brunswick Died - George SMITH Geo Smith, aged 25 years, a

prosperous farmer, was drowned yesterday in the river near his home. He was a brother of Fred

W. Smith who a few weeks ago was burned to death in a fire which destroyed the river steamer

Crystal Stream.

SMITH 1907-02-25 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - George SMITH Three halfbreeds, Baptiste Prince. Rosie

Smith, and Georgie Smith were burned to death in the shack where they lived near St. Paul's

Indian Mission last night.

and was killed.

SMITH 1907-11-26 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - Charles SMITH A Galician named Charles Smith was

crushed between cars in the CPR yards here. He leaves a widow and family.

SMITH 1907-09-23 - Toronto, Ontario Died - Louis SMITH A young Englishman named Louis Smith was

attacked and killed by a bull at East Toronto on Thursday.

SNOW 1907-04-06 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Contracto (Child of) SNOW The death occurred yesterday

of the 8 year old son of Contracto Snow.

SNOWBALL 1907-02-25 - Fredericton, New Brunswick Died - Hon. J.B. SNOWBALL Lieut.-Governor of N.B.

died very suddenly last evening. Governor Snowball was born at Lunenburg, N.S. in 1837.

SORBY 1907-06-11 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - Lutez SORBY aged 20 was killed in a Galician fight last

night.

SPALDING 1907-05-08 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Mrs. (Spaulding) SPALDING died at the General Hospital

this morning. Burial will take place at Poplar Lake, home of the deceased.

SPARYK 1907-07-24 - Ottawa, Ontario Died - Fred SPARYK was instantly killed last evening by being run

down by a light engine. He was about 35 years of age.

SPENCE 1907-05-25 - Selkirk, Manitoba Died - Oliver SPENCE At the inquest held on Oliver Spence.

aged 10 and John Chastellaine, the victims of a drowning accident in the Red yesterday, a

verdict was found of accidentally drowned.

St. JACQUES 1907-12-24 - Ottawa, Ontario Died - Sam St. JACQUES one of the proprietors of the Brunswick

Hotel and brother of the late Zavier St. Jacques, dropped dead in the hotel. He was about 45

years of age and married.

ST. JOHN 1907-04-08 - Toronto, Ontario Died - J.W. ST. JOHN speaker of the Ontario legislature, died at

noon today. He was operated on two weeks ago.

STANFORD 1907-11-08 - Toronto, Ontario Died - Charles STANFORD brakeman, jumped off a caboose

today at Bowmanville to turn the switch. He fell with his head on the rail and a wheel took the top

of his head off. He lived at York near Toronto.

STANIFORTH 1907-11-22 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Frederick STANIFORTH died at one of the city hospitals

last night after a brief illness. The remains will be sent east to Winnipeg.

STASKUK 1907-07-29 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - Rose STASKUK As the result of a dose of polluted water

given as a remedy for convulsions, the infant daughter of Rose Staskuk lies dead.

STEEVES 1907-10-18 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Eva STEEVES daughter of R. Steeves of Frank, Alberta

who has been attending Alberta College and who last week was taken seriously ill and removed to

the Misericordia Hospital, died there this morning.

STEPHEN 1907-07-24 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Thomas Algeron STEPHEN The funeral of the late

Thomas Algernon Stephen took place at his residence this afternoon. Remains were sent east to

Collingwood, Ont. where father of the deceased, Dr. Stephen, still lives.

STEVENS 1907-10-22 - Montreal, Quebec Died - Mrs. STEVENS of St. Urbin St. was burned to death last

night.

STEVENSON 1907-10-21 - Esterhazy, Saskatchewan Died - Bridget STEVENSON The dead body of an aged

woman named Bridget Stevenson was found lying outside her house situated in a Scandinavian

colony south of here yesterday. She had lived alone there for the past 10 years.

STEWART 1907-09-07 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - Dr. Earl STEWART one of the house surgeons of the

General Hospital and son of Rev. Dr. Stewart, registrar of Wesley College, died at the hospital

yesterday of typhoid fever.

STEWART 1907-10-04 - Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta Died - Margaret (Mrs. J.G.) STEWART Died on the 1st

inst. Margaret Stewart widow of James Green Stewart, late chief factor of the Hudson's Bay Co.

in her 78th year.

STEWART 1907-08-06 - Prince Albert, Saskatchewan Died - Andrew STEWART Death has claimed Andrew

Stewart until recently proprietor and editor of the Prince Albert Advocate who passed away there

at the age of 38 (88?).

STILLETO 1907-05-22 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Alex (Child of) STILLETO The funeral of the infant child of

Alex Stilleto will take place today at 2:30 P.M. from the family residence on Boyle St.

STONE 1907-01-04 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Christopher STONE The death occurred last night of

Christopher Stone an employee of the National Trust Co. He was taken ill a few days ago with

typhoid fever. He was in his 19th year.
