| Hanson were suffocated in a well, which they were digging Fri. digging 1 1/2 miles south from |
| here. The men had discharged a charge of dynamite in the well late Thursday to dislodge stone |
| and when Hanson was lowered Fri. morning to observe the effects of the shot he was overcome |
| by gas and slipped through the noose in the rope by which he was being lowered. Brockbank went |
| Down to try to recover the body and was also overcome before he could be pulled up. Hanson |
| came from Bagley Minn. and Brockbank from South Port, England. |
