1907 Edmonton Journal Deaths

WILSON 1907-10-16 - Ernwood, Saskatchewan Died - J.C. WILSON October 16 - Erwood - Killed by a

black bear was J.C. Wilson. an employee of the Red River Lumber Co. The tragedy occurred

about 15 miles east of Erwood on the Winnipeg-Brandon-Prince Albert branch of the CPR.

WILSON 1907-01-24 - Montreal, Quebec Died - Bruce Leroy WILSON The Overseas Ltd. struck and killed

a man at Highlands on Mon. and it is thought from papers and letters found in his clothing that the

victim is Bruce Leroy Wilson of Lyndock, Ont. who was recently a resident of Calgary.

WILSON 1907-03-28 - Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Died - John WILSON Jno. Wilson , a prominent farmer

of Belle Plaine and manager of the Western Elevator at Pasqua was instantly killed yesterday.

While starting a gasoline engine, he was caught in the fly wheel, whirled around and thrown

against a wall. He leaves a wife and family at Belle Plaine.

WILSON 1907-09-23 - Prince Albert, Saskatchewan Died - Thomas WILSON of Toronto fell from the new

water tower at Prince Albert Lumber Mill Sat. and died from his injuries.

WING 1907-08-12 - Eburne, British Columbia Died - On WING a Chinaman, was blown to pieces on his

ranch at Eburne. He was smoking a briar pipe while he was blowing up stumps with black powder.

WING 1907-12-13 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - Luk WING Luk Wing and Lee Chow were burned to death

when fire broke out in the Chinese Laundry on Salter Ave.

WINN 1907-04-06 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - C. (Child of) WINN The death occurred last night of the

young child of Mr. C. Winn. 338 Syndicate Ave.

WINTERS 1907-11-18 - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Died - Karl WINTERS a young man 19 years of age was

killed yesterday by a runaway.

WIZE 1907-07-25 - New Westminster, British Columbia Died - J.E. WIZE of Edmonton has just

received word of the death of his father Wm. Wize at New Westminster, B.C. on July 21.

Deceased was 78 and was born in Reading, Berkshire, England. He came to Canada in the early

'50's and lived in B.C. since 1883.

WOODHEAD 1907-02-19 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - A. WOODHEAD a brakeman on the CPR, was run over

and killed by his train at Martier? while making a coupling at that point this morning. The body

was taken to La Riviere for interment.

WOOLLEY 1907-09-09 - Toronto, Ontario Died - Mrs. Harriett WOOLLEY a woman about 50 years of age,

died last night of heart failure.

WORRALL 1907-09-04 - Fort William, Ontario Died - Sam WORRALL the 16 year old son of Mr. and Mrs.

Geo Worrall, died in the hospital yesterday as the result of injuries by the accidental discharge of

a small shotgun on Monday.

WRIGHT 1907-07-13 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - J.A. WRIGHT the well known auctioneer, died last night.

WRIGHT 1907-07-09 - Vancouver, British Columbia Died - George E. WRIGHT July 9 - Vancouver -

George E. Wright, a millwright, while despondent committed suicide Sat. He shot himself with a

concession Finch Co., was found dead in Ina Hamilton's barn third concession. He had hung

YOUNG 1907-05-28 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - George P. YOUNG of the Canada Life, has received

notice of the death of his brother, Dr. George P. Young of Vancouver Drive.

YUEN 1907-06-03 - Montreal, Quebec Died - Wong YUEN The first requiem mass chanted for a

Chinaman in Canada was held at St. Patricks Catholic Church. The subject of the mass was

Wong Yuen, a Chinaman, 23 years of age who died at Hotel Dieu on Sunday.

ZOETOWSKI 1907-05-18 - Field, British Columbia Died - Andrew ZOETOWSKI A very sad drowning accident

took place near here on Tues. about noon. Two men went down below the natural bridge to fish

when one, Andrew Zoetowski, a young man from a wealthy and influential family who live in

German Poland, slipped on a rock and fell into the river. The young man was 19 years of age.
