DALY 1907-07-27 - Toronto, Ontario Died - Frank DALY A drowning accident occurred near Sunnyside

during a thunderstorm Thurs. night when the launch Danline with 10 young men in it upset. Only

one survived. Dead are: Joseph Irwin. aged 20, bricklayer; Jack Irving. 20; Walter Dudin

(Dundm),20; Frank Kyle. 18; Frank Daly. 19; Dawson Nehrgang, CPR switchman; Gordon LeRoc

trainer for the Shamrocks; R.G. Miller. 19; John Irvine.

DALY 1907-10-30 - Whitby, Ontario Died - Brakeman W. DALY of Lindsay was struck by a train while

operating a switch this morning and instantly killed.

DANCEY 1907-05-17 - Calgary, Alberta Died - W.H. DANCEY contractor and a veteran of the rebellion of

1885 died in Calgary on Sun. last. Mr. Dancey was born in Newfoundland 40 years ago. For

several years he was supt. of the Methodist Sunday School at Sydney. He was a member of the

Manchester Order of Oddfellows and the L.O.L.

DARQUEN 1907-11-30 - Kenora, Ontario Died - Joseph DARQUEN was killed in the CPR yards when he was

caught and crushed between some buffers. Englishman by birth, he leaves a widow and one

DAVIDSON 1907-08-10 - Montreal, Quebec Died - Shirley DAVIDSON The bodies of Shirley Davidson and

Miss Eileen Hingston, victims of last Sundays boating accident near Varennes, were found today.

DAVIS 1907-11-05 - Brockville, Ontario Died - A.A. DAVIS a well known cheese buyer was found dead in

his bed this morning.

DAWES 1907-06-13 - Montreal, Quebec Died - I.P. DAWES The death took place at Lachine today of I.P.

Dawes. brewer, at the age of 64 years. He was director of the Merchants Bank of Canada and of

the Dominion Bridge Co.

DAWSON 1907-12-05 - Rurford, Ontario Died - R.R. DAWSON teller of the Crown Bank, suicided by

shooting himself. He came from Orangeville.

DAY 1907-08-08 - Montreal, Quebec Died - Florence DAY Approaching too close to a bonfire, 5 year

old Florence Day had her clothing ignited by flames and sustained fatal burns.

DAY 1907-04-13 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Died - William DAY The casualties in the CPR wreck are as

follows: killed, Mrs. R.B. Champion and baby in arms; Mrs. R. Davidson and baby in arms; Wm.

Day, Sunny Hill House, Kingstone, England; Winfred and Susie Horton. Bungalo, Charing Heath,

Kent, England; C.H. Geolding. his brother and wife and 2 children, Worcester, Mass; Mrs. August

Borklund & 2 children, Worcester, Mass.

DEACON 1907-08-12 - Lindsay, Ontario Died - Lieut-Col. DEACON an old and respected resident of this

town, died yesterday morning. Col. Deacon was a retired captain of the British Army being

attached to the first Royal Scots brigade and served in the Crimean War.

DEB 1907-11-30 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Mah DEB a Chinaman, died at the Public Hospital this

morning of typhoid fever.

DEEM 1907-03-11 - Kenora, Ontario Died - Nico DEEM was instantly killed in an explosion of dynamite

at Dryden Camp on the CPR double track construction, 82 miles east of here Saturday.

DEHEVRE 1907-06-07 - Napinka, Manitoba Died - John DEHEVRE a local blacksmith committed suicide by

hanging himself in his own blacksmith shop.

DELUCCA 1907-05-21 - Fernie, British Columbia Died - Ernest DELUCCA Ernest Delucca was killed in #5

mine at Michel today by being struck by two cars which broke away from the hoist.

DEMMERY 1907-04-25 - California, USA Died - Mrs. DEMMERY Died at her residence 228 N. Hancock St.

Los Angeles, Ca. on the 15th inst., Mrs. Demmery. late of Edmonton.

DENNE 1907-05-13 - Regina, Saskatchewan Died - John L. DENNE a hired man on the farm of Thomas

Young, near Indian Industrial School committed suicide by shooting on Sat. afternoon or evening.

DEW 1907-07-19 - Port Arthur, Ontario Died - George DEW a well known character in the city, was

found dead in his bed this morning in a shack on the corner of Ray and Algoma St. He was 70

DEWARE 1907-11-30 - Cobalt, Ontario Died - Paul DEWARE frenchman, woodcutter from Gillies, aged

about 25, fell under the train and was run over.

DIONNE 1907-10-08 - Chambly, Quebec Died - Miss. DIONNE Names of the parties drowned Sun. night

by driving into the canal were P. Dionne, Montreal and his daughter aged 10.

Twp. was killed last night, being run over by a threshing engine.

DOLDAGARAY 1907-05-10 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Dominique (Dolhagorry) DOLDAGARAY The death

occurred this morning at the Misericordia Hospital of a Frenchman named Dominique Doldagaray-

(Dolhagorry in May 14 edition). He had been ill for the past 6 months.

DOMENICK 1907-10-14 - Brandon, Manitoba Died - Augustin DOMENICK An Indian, Augustin Domenick.

slipped and fell off the train and when picked up was dead.

DONAGHUE 1907-02-27 - Guelph, Ontario Died - Ex-Mayor DONAGHUE The through Toronto-Chicago train on

the GTR yesterday from Toronto was derailed 3 miles south of Guelph at Trainer's Cut. Three

people were killed and 40 injured. Ex-mayor Donaghue of Stratford and Chas. Rankin and an

infant of 3 years were killed.

DONALD 1907-09-30 - Toronto, Ontario Died - John Sr. DONALD an old resident of Southampton was killed

at Port Elgin fair yesterday afternoon when a horse bolted from the track and ran him down.

DONALD 1907-06-22 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Isabella DONALD This morning Isabella Donald. Kinistino

Ave. who only arrived from Scotland a few days ago died. The funeral will take place Mon.

DOUGLAS 1907-12-30 - Leduc, Alberta Died - William DOUGLAS a pioneer merchant of Leduc was found

dead in bed last Thurs. Deceased was born in Aagenteul, Que. and was about 50 years of age.

DOWLING 1907-11-14 - Edmonton, Alberta Died - Ezra DOWLING aged 73 years and 1 month died at the

residence of his son, 408 1-raser Ave. last night. Mr. Dowling who is an old timer formerly resided

in Strathcona.
