Orangemen Celebrate.

The Orangemen's celebration closed yesterday and after going to press yesterday the programme of sports was taken up with the following results:
Men s  race, 100 yards, Eddie Fletcher, first; R. Lyons, second.
Boys' race, 12 years and under, S. Roby, first; Jack Richardson, second.
Girls' race, 12 years and under, Jessie Carmichael, first; Jennie Patterson, second.
Boys' race, 6 years and under, Gordon Cameron, first; George Lewis, second.
Girls' race, 6 years and under, Hannah Jarrett, first; Violet Gale, second.
Orangemen's race, H. Nash, first; Walter Johnston, second.
Ladies' race, Mrs. Morrison, first; Miss Shaw, second.
Fatigue race. R. Lyons, first; W. Johnston, second.
Men's bicycle race, J. Adair, first; W. Crossman, second.
Kicking football, J. Stagg, first; H. Raby, second.
Standing long jump, E. Fletcher, first; W. Nash, second.
The speeches followed, and it then being so late the balance of the programme of sports was not continued.
Shortly after 6 o'clock the band played God Save the King, and the crowd gradually wound its way back to town.
In the evening at 8 o'clock a special train left for the north carrying the visiting brethren from that section. Quite a crowd gathered to bid them farewell and cheers went up as the train moved out.
This closed one of the most successful Orange Day celebrations that has been held in this part of the country.
