Territorial Rifle Association.
The most successful gathering of th The most successful gathering of the
Territorial Rifle association is in progress on the ranges. The shooting
commenced yesterday, was continued today and will be in progress for two more
days. There is a notable gathering of crack shots and much interest is being
taken in the meeting.
There was no wind yesterday but today their was a stiff cross wind which made
shooting difficulty and today's scores in the Corporation of Calgary match are
all the more creditable to the shooters.
The ranges present a pretty sight. To the west of where the shooting is being
done the tents of the North West Mounted Police are arranged in two lines:
Military Match.
Open to North West Mounted Police and members of active militia. Must be
bonafide members of the Territorial Rifle association:
First prize, $15.
Second prize, $10.
Third prize, $8.
Two prizes of $5 each,
Two prizes of $5 each, $10.
Three prizes of $3 each, $9.
Four prizes of $2 each, $8.
Eight prizes of $1 each, $8.
Total, 20 prizes, value $68.
Ranges 200 and 600 yards. Rounds 7. Any postion with head to target.

score of team competing to be holder of cup for the next year. Silver medals
presented by the Territorial Rifle association to team winning the cup. Shot in
conjunction with the Corporation of Calgary match.
