Swimming Carnival.

The annual swimming carnival will commence tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock and will be continued on Tuesday evening next. A charge of 25c will be made for admission to defray the cost of the prizes, etc.
Following is the programme for the opening day:
1. Boys enter water and disport themselves.
2. Girls enter water.
3. Boys championship, first round.
Heat 1-- G. Spencer, C. Williams, F. Lawson. Heat 2-- G. Bellamy, H. Lafferty, J. McKenzie. Heat 3-- W. Hunter, N. Lougheed, W. Emery.
4. A swimming lesson will be given.
5. An exhibition of various strokes.
6. L. Kerr (boy champion) will establish a 100 yards record for Alberta.
7. Novices, 20 yards race.
Alex. McTavish, Alex. Brown, R. Beaty, R. Lane.
8. Girls championships.
I. Nimmons, H. Cooper, L. Lane, E. Thornton, M. Kerr, R. Young, A. Crick.
9. Boys quarter mile handicap.
E. Harris, 2 min., start; H. Lazler, 2 min.; N. Stirrett, 60 sec.; W. Emery, 50 sec.; I. Grierson, 45 sec.; C. Williams, 40 sec.; N. Lougheed, 40 sec.; G. Spencer, 20 sec.; G. Bellamy, 20 sec.; F. Lawson, 20 sec.; W. Hunter, scratch.
This race will probably have to be divided into two heats.
10. Blindfold race.
11. Diving competition, 1st round.
12. First round 20 yards handicap.
