License Victuallers Association.
The Territorial Licensed Victualler's Protective association at their annual
meeting in Medicine Hat elected the following officers for the year:
President, J. B. Mercer, Edmonton.
First vice president, H. S. McLeod, Calgary.
Second vice president, W. M. Harris, Wapella.
Secretary-treasurer, J. R. Miquelon, Calgary.
Auditors, S. J. Blair, Calgary, and F. G. Arnold, Regina.
All members of the association were asked in a resolution passed to endeavor to
have the provisions of the liquor license ordinance carried out as closely as
possible.
The association decided that it was in the interests of the association that
candidates for elections who hold pronounced prohibition views should be
opposed regardless of their politics by the association.
Following are the representatives from the different districts on the general
executive:
Edmonton, E. D. Grierson and Thos. Shipley.
Calgary, W. J. Brown and S. J. Blair.
Macleod, L. W. Kribbs and Thos. Wilton.
