Calgary Pupils did Well.
Professor Augade, the local violin teacher, has every
reason to feel proud of the places taken in the College of Music examinations
by his pupils. The Winnipeg Tribune commenting on Calgary as a musical centre
says:
"The city of Calgary has been noticed recently in these columns for its
musical happenings, and has more than held its own with places of larger
population in the violin achievements of some of its youthful musicians at the
Toronto College of Music examinations."
Following are the Calgary pupils who passed the college exams and they are all
Professor Augade's pupils:
First-class honors-- Alexander McEwing and Ethel Stephen.
Second class honors, violin-- Robert Haskin, Alberta Boyd, Edmund Reilly.
Pass, violin-- Alma Sibbald.
Primary violin, first-class honors-- Leone MacLeod, Nettie Reilly, Frances
Lawson.
Second class honors, violin-- Ellen Robertson, Violet Smart, Joseph Hutcheson
and Albert Rouleau.
Pass, violin, second class-- Maggie McKnight, Harry Crandell, Fred Copas and
Jas. Robertson.
