COCHRANE RANCH GOES TO MORMANS Montreal, Jan 27, - Application recently granted by Justice Davidson in the superior court marks the further invasion of Mormons in the Canadian west. The application was for the voluntary liquidation of the Cochrane Ranching Co. Limited of Alberta, the principle owner of which are messrs James Cochrane of Crompton, Earnest Cochran of Boston, and Charles M. Hunt of Montreal. The object of the application is to allow the final handing over of the business to Bro. Joseph A. Smith chief apostle of the Mormons. The ranch covers 70,000 acres in Alberta and the purchase price is said to be over half a million. The Mormons will form a settlement there and cultivate the land.
