Simpson has been appointed liquidator for the Red Deer Mill and Elevator Co., in place of Geo. W. Greene. R. Smith, employment agent for the C.N.R. was in town last week looking for men. He was formerly a member of the Innisfail baseball team and played this season. W.D. Howell, of Backfalds, was in town on Monday. Mayor H.H. Gaetz returned form the east last week where he has been attempting to dispose of the town's debentures. It is understood that he has not yet placed the debentures but expects to close a deal in the course of a few days. Mrs. Barbara E. Baird left last week for Vancouver where she will reside for the future. W.J. Baird will follow here in a few weeks. Dr. John Collison had the misfortune to have a runaway Friday night and had to walk into town from somewhere near the Industrial school. Constable Johnston, R.N.W.M.P., who has been in town for the past few days left on yesterday's train for Calgary. A presentation was made to Canon Hinchcliffe last week by the members of the band in appreciation of past service.
