Sedgewick Liberals.
Sedgewick, March 3.-- The Liberals met at Sedgewick to organize for the coming
election. A district Liberal association was formed. Wm. Corbett presided.
Two committees were appointed, one on credentials of delegates and the other on
organization. Credentials committee: D. A. Bickwell, J.P., of Sedgewick,
chairman; Messrs. Johnson and Sullivan, of Hardisty; W. P. McGowan, of Killam;
John Robertson, of Stonie. Organization committee: A. E. Clements, president of
the Sedgewick Liberal association, as chairman; Messrs. J. C. McKay and A. H.
McLaughlin of Hardisty, and E. H. Malcolm and Nichols of Killam.
The following names were recommended by the organization committee as officers
for Sedgewick district: Hon. president, Premier A. C. Rutherford; hon.
vice-president, the member-elect; president, T. W. Edwards, Sedgewick;
vice-president, O. D. Sullivan, Hardisty; secretary-treasurer, C. E. McGowan,
Killam. Members of the executive committee: J. Robinson, Strome; E. H. Malcolm,
Plesington; Fred E. Gedualm, Prague;
T. H. White, Lougheed; A. Brown, Bells Hill; A. Boltorff, Puffer; Albert
Cusley, Talbot; Dr. W. C. York, Provost; A. Botthamisie, A. Harding, of Mount
View; W. H. Stewart, Mernaz.
The meeting carried the recommendation unanimously.
