CALGARY SURVEYORS PASS EXAMINATIONS
Several Alberta Men Are Successful at the Recent Trials
OTTAWA, March 24.-- The results of the
examinations held in February before the board of examiners for Dominion land
surveyors are announced today. These examinations were held at Ottawa, Halifax,
Montreal, Kingston, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton and Dawson.
One hundred and ninety-nine candidates presented themselves. Out of this number
thirty-seven passed the full preliminary tests and three were successful in
getting through the limited preliminary examination. Fifteen candidates passed
the final examination. The following are the westerners:
Full preliminary-- C. H. Biddell, Regina; C. A. Buck, Edmonton; F. R. Burfield,
Calgary; L. C. Calder, Bergen, Alberta; A. M. Knight, Edmonton; F. J. Martin,
Winnipeg; T. S. Wills, Prince Albert; W. S. McDonald, Edmonton; H. R.
Mackenzie, Regina; J. M. Paul, Calgary; D. N. Sharpe, Winnipeg; C. H. Tory,
Edmonton.
Limited preliminary-- G. A. Wall, Calgary.
Final-- H. C. Bingham, Regina; C. P. Sharp, Salmon Arm, B.C.
