Field Ambulance Men Leave City Tomorrow On Their Way to Front


Men of "C" section, Field Ambulance Corps, Army Medical Corps, now in quarters at the Commercial Travelers' building, will leave for Winnipeg tomorrow afternoon. This welcome news was received this afternoon, and the men are jubilant at the thought that they will start on their long journey towards the front, at least the first stage of it, tomorrow. "No midnight passes tonight," was another order, but one which did not please so well. The men were all paid this afternoon and likely have an easy forenoon tomorrow in order to say farewell.
The local unit will probably go into quarters at Winnipeg for some time. The other two sections of the force will train there also. "A" section is now at Winnipeg, and "B" section will very likely leave Brandon this evening. When the three get working together they will have an opportunity of practicing the actual work which they will be expected to perform at the front.
