HOSPITAL NURSES' GRADUATING EXERCISES
The graduating class from the training school at
the General hospital will receive their diplomas at the graduating exercises of
the school tomorrow evening in Paget hall.
The exercises will commence at 8:30, and Mayor Costello, who is also chairman
of the hospital board, will occupy the chair, while seated on the platform will
be the members of the board. Addresses will be given by the chairman , the
vice-chairman, Mr. J. H. Woods, Rev. Mr. Fallis of Central Methodist church,
Superintendent McKillop and Dr. Dean, while musical numbers and presentation of
diplomas will complete the programme.
The graduating class this year numbers eleven, and the successful nurses who
are now concluding a three years' course, under the direction of the
superintendent, Miss Smith are : Miss Annie Court, Glenbow, Alberta; Miss
Fannie Hunt, Greenfield, Nova Scotia; Miss Margaret C. McLeod, Priceville,
Ontario; Miss Ethel S. Thompson, Elmsvale, N.S.; Miss Hester E. Skuce, Clive,
Alberta; Miss Emma M. Miller, Granum, Alberta; Miss Mary T. Watt, Mount Hope,
Alberta; Miss Emma M. Landsay, Vulcan, Alberta; Miss Helen F. Mutch,
Ernscliffe, Prince Edward Island; Miss Frances Batey, Quelph and Miss Ethel
Graham, Calgary.
