No word on Ten of the Calgary People on Board
Calgary May 8, It is feared in Calgary that a number of persons from this city who were on the ill fated Lusitania have perished. While the list of the dead people already has not been completed as nearly as can be determained there were at least ten. Their names being;
Mr. And Mrs. ? Elliot, the former bing a brother of Charles W. Elliot of 1127 Thirteenth avenue west.
Walter P? former employee of the ?
T.F. Campbell former in the employ of G.F. Dieppier Of Mackay & Dieppier
Miss A.M. Campbell
George Gordon
Robert Williams
R.L. Lantoft of the H & R apartments, 19th avenue and fourth street west.
A.E. Johnston
Mrs. Barnes
Among these who are reported rescued are
James Boyle of Bellevue
Rev. and Mrs. H.L. Gwyer of Cochrane
Jacobus Sigurd, who represented Sweden at the opening of the Panama Pacific expedition was the only first class passenger booked at Calgary. His name does not appear in the list of the saved.
