CONTINGENT OF 5TH UNIVERSITIES CO. LEAVES TODAY
Lieutenant C. A. Grant with another contingent of the 5th University Company of
reinforcements for the Princess Pats will leave for Montreal from the first
street depot at 8.30 a.m. A special street car has been chartered by the
students, who will give their comrades a right good send off.
Many of the party now leaving are from Alberta college. They are dropping
their study of theology that liberty and freedom of the British empire be
maintained.
The names of those from Alberta College in this contingent are:
G. L. Baker, G. H .Clarke, A. M. Hummel, B. D. Wilson, C. S. Pinder, J. W.
Bainbridge, S. Bainbridge, T. Musto, G. R. Aldus, J. E. Ball, A. W. Harding, J.
E. Kirk, T. R. Brasnett, F. H. Campbell, A. D. McInnis and W. G. Mason.
T. W. Reed and F. T. Cook will leave later.
This makes 38 that have left from Alberta College for the war. Of the 16 that
are leaving this morning seven are Canadians, seven are English and two are
Scotch.
