FIFTY MEN FOR PIONEER CORPS.

Lieut. Layner Has Now Got All the Men He Requires For the Present.

Lieut. Rayner, who has been recruiting in the city for the Pioneer battalion during the past few days, accomplished this morning his task of securing fifty men, and the contingent will leave shortly for Winnipeg. Two more members of the city police force, W. Cameron and J. Irvine, have joined the battalion.


The full list of recruits is as follows: G. S. Craik, B. Reynolds, W. H.Elliott, G. A. Farmer, J. Irvine, D. Stewart, J. Ogilvie, A. Riddell, M. Munro, A. E. Hollander, W. C. Breton, T. D. Breton, J. Stafford, H. Fey, W. S. Bridge, D. H. Bliss, M. G. Archer, L. S. Cowen, K. McLean, J. Ratcliff, J. Lomas, J. McClernon, W. Cameron, A. E. Cooper, W. Ryan, G. MacClellen, J. MacDonald, A. Wilks, M. Simmon, A. Craft, O. Tral, R. Olson, E. Read, A. Brickett, and the following members of the 66th battalion, who have been transferred: Sergt. Henderson, Corpl. Howard and Privates Cormack, Ferguson, Gordon, Cooley, Freeman, Harrington, Oxley, Hadison, Kineafsy, McLaughlin, Cain, McLeod, Downes and Hamilton.
