MORE CALGARIANS ARE REPORTED PRISONERS
According to Red Cross List Several Canadians Are Captives
According to a Red Cross report received from the German side of the line,
several Calgary men, previously listed as missing; are now said to be prisoners
in the hands of the enemy. Though the intials are not given, the regimental
numbers are supplied and no mistake can be made in the identity.
The local soldiers on the list are: 434639, Pte. Dawson, of the
50th battalion; 447602, Pte. Wood, of the 56th; 434972, Pte.
Sheppard, of the 50th, and 105554, Pte. Smith, of the Engineers. Other
Canadians reported prisoners are: 132424, Overseen: 103316 Barber; 703399
Gallant: 703647 McNaught; 703304, Newton; 103769, Watson; 178172, Colburn;
177063, Godsall; 542625, Simpson; 210634, Moore; 210678, Neale.
