Pte. J. Bradford is buried with Military Honors

 

Funeral is held on Friday Afternoon from Connelly & McKinley’s Parlors.

 

            The funeral of the late Private John Bradford, who died at the South side armories a couple of days ago from the effects of Spanish influenza, held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Connelly & McKinley’s Undertaking parlors. Captain J. M. Comyn-Ching conducted the funeral service and Major Dawson was in charge of the pallbearers and the funeral arrangements.

            The firing party was supplied by the G.W.V.A.and was composed of Sergt. Hand, Corp. Ockenden M.M., M.R. McDonald, C.J. Halaby, H. Johnstone, J.S. McConnell, G.E. Mollins, F. Herson, D. Heron, Corp. R.A. Patrick, Y. Megdelisky, G.P. Peebles, G.H. Robertson, C.F. Johnstone. The riders were J.C. Eliott and J. Downie and the bugler L. Daws.

            Sergt. Major W.J. Haining represented the G.W.V.A.

            Pte. Bradford came from Ontario.
